Norway's electrical safety standards are now live inside Hunit
This week NEK, Norway's national electrotechnical standards organisation, announced its collaboration with Hunit. NEK has licensed its NEK 405 electrical safety standards into the Hunit platform, and Norwegian inspection businesses can now carry out inspections with the standard itself working inside the job. Hunit is the only inspection platform with that licence.
A standard has always been a document. You read it, then the real work happens somewhere else. On Hunit, the entire inspection runs digitally and the standard runs with it.
At every control point, the inspector can ask a question, and Hunit AI answers from the licensed standard only, cites the clause it relied on, and declines everything else. Deviations are captured with photos and deadlines as they are found, and a drafted report is ready before the inspector leaves the site. The judgment stays with the inspector, who remains the accountable signatory. The standard becomes a colleague rather than a rulebook.
This is the second product line on the Hunit platform. Alongside Agentic Contracts, Hunit now delivers Agentic Inspections: each inspected building can hold a live certificate carrying the standard, the inspection cadence and the full record. One continuous compliance file per asset instead of a folder of reports.
The full NEK 405 series is live today: residential, commercial and agricultural. NEK 405 is the first standard to run this way. It will not be the last.
