Use Hunit for Word to create a Smart Legal Contract by embedding automation into a natural language legal document, directly from Word's familiar workspace (locally installed or in-browser cloud versions). Use your current templates or document management systems, our Contract-Embedded Automation can be added to the .DOCX file at any stage of your workflow. Our growing library of automation includes the actions you need to conduct your business and manage your legal relationships. Our AI-assistant saves you time by suggesting the automation that matches your natural language clauses. If you plan to use your Smart Legal Contract many times, you can either simply reuse your model .DOCX Smart Legal Contract or contact Hunit's professional services team to integrate our template features to your CRM or ERP system.
Negotiate
Negotiate with your counterparties as you normally would. Your proposed agreement automation is embedded directly in the Word .DOCX file and you can use your current workflow to reach a final agreement. Sending email attachments? Using Teams to collaboratively edit? It works!

Don't worry about your counterparty not having access to the automation you propose, Hunit for Word is free to download and use from Microsoft's App Store*. Your counterparties can review, modify or propose new Contract-Embedded Automation - but only licensees can send the final draft for signature and use.

Onboard, Configure, and Sign
Once your Smart Legal Contract is agreed, put it into action by sending it to Hunit's platform directly from Hunit for Word.
Onboard signatories Be certain about who you're exchanging payments with. First time signers create a digital identity via a fast, automated 170+ country compatible KYC / AML onboarding. Does your organisation also need an in-house 'level 2' KYC review? Set your Smart Legal Contract to only accept signatures from counter-parties with your KYC tag.
Onboard
Configure viability Configure who can see what once your Smart Legal Contract is signed and in action. Legal counsel, auditors, or others can be given access to parts or all the agreement and its completion logs. Need to make a change later? Signatories can always update the agreement viewers that they've permitted.
Configure
Set data storage locations Each Smart Legal Contract has its own encrypted data storage and you can configure where it lives. Your agreements’ text and completion logs are sensitive data that are only stored on Hunit’s Web3 network nodes that you select, assuring compliance with your data policies and regulations like the Data Protection Act. Keep your sensitive data on only your firm or company’s servers or pair it on the servers of your counter-parties.
Data Settings
Biometric signature Be certain that agreements and deeds are being signed by the individuals you expect. Hunit's onboarding process configures each individuals mobile app with biometric data that is confirmed each time a user signs an agreement or sends / receives legally important data or documents. Its time to end the throwaway digital signature.
Sign
Launch and Relax
Once signed, a Smart Legal Contract is recorded on Hunit’s private permissioned Web3 network and its data storage is set up in the locations you chose. From signature to the end of your agreement’s period, your Smart Legal Contract completes its own terms – guiding parties through some tasks and completing others entirely on its own.
Payments, approvals, document exchanges, notifications, approvals, and monitoring of external data systems (like IOT devices) all proceed as agreed.
Do you need to amend the agreement in the middle of its term? Digitally sign an amendment and the new Smart Legal Contract goes into effect.
Need to pause an agreement because of a force majeure event or dispute? Suspend the agreement’s automation pending the review of a court or arbitrator.
Is one party not completing their obligations? Our platform allows you to pre-plan the actions a Smart Legal Contract will take. Initial steps can help parties back into compliance (like reminders or penalty fees) and final actions can include pre-agreed remedies that are instantaneous and certain (like initiating a sale of pledged assets).
